To commemorate the Black history month, Jean-Jacques Elangué (saxophone) is leading an all-stars international quintet with Ronald Baker (trumpet & vocals), Josiah Woodson (guitar), Darryl Hall (double bass), Denis Tchangou (drums).

The repertoire will showcase the great black music tradition from Hard-bop to Blues and Funk. A new light shed on the 20th century soundtrack by five virtuosos at the peak of their art.

Jean-Jacques Elangué – Saxophone
French-Cameroonian multi-instrumentalist Jean-Jacques Elangué came up through the French Jazz scene. A composer and conductor, this virtuoso saxophonist plays powerful music inspired by the African roots of Jazz

Darryl Hall- Bass/double bass
Darryl is an American jazz bassist who has lived in France since 2004. He performs many genres of jazz and participates in a variety of projects with artists from the U.S. and Europe, traveling around the globe. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, birthplace to some of the world’s finest bassists including Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Alphonso Johnson, Charles Fambrough, Percy Heath, Jymie Merritt, Christian Mcbride, Arthur Harper, Tyrone Brown, and Victor Bailey.
Josiah Woodson – Guitar
Grammy Award winner for his collaboration with Beyoncé’s “Love on Top” song, Josiah Woodson began his music apprenticeship with the trumpet at the age of 12. Trained in California at the Oaktown Jazz Workshop, he developed his own mentor, Khalil Shaheed.
Ronald Baker – Trumpet and voice
After studying trumpet at the Baltimore school for the Arts, he went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music education at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. It was there that he studied with great artists such as Donald Byrd, Kenny Davis, Wendell Logan, JJ Johnson, Jon Faddis, Gorge Cables and many others! Ronald has appeared in most of the large jazz festivals in France and Spain and has performed with great artists such as Lou Donaldson, Curtis Fuller, Red Halloway, Jesse Davis and Antonio Hart to name a few
Denis Tchangou 
The producer of Gombo Orchestra, Tamambolo and Brassens in Africa, and one of the rare drummers to incorporate all the rhythms of the world into his music, as if he was born with a drum in his hands.
